So how come you are still single?

I just realized that there is no good that can come out of this question.

When asked, the question can

a. convey that the person who is asking this question is surprised to be with you OR

b. that they don't trust you, and are trying to figure out what's wrong with you and/ or why no one else decided not to be with you

This almost never comes across as a genuine compliment to me. No matter which way I look at it, I am turned off by the question :S. And I think guys should stop asking it.
